Operations Manager (Rite-A-Way)

We have an opening for an Operations Manager position with Rite-A-Way Tree Service in St. Charles, MO. We are excited about the opportunity to add a skilled and experienced individual to our team to manage crew operations for our company.

Responsibilities:

Your day-to-day duties will include overseeing daily job site operations. This includes supervising climbing, bucket truck, Spyder lift, and management of the ground crews operating equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, and loaders. This job requires quick decision making, self-motivation, excellent communication skills and exceptional organization aptitude.

The Operations Manager is also responsible for training and guiding crew members on proper techniques and safe equipment use. You will keep job sites clean and organized, communicate clearly with the crew and customers, and lead by example to keep work moving safely and efficiently. This job also includes scheduling the jobs with the sales arborists, keeping the crews on track each day and making sure the equipment needs for the crews is fulfilled throughout the day. This job requires about 40 hours a week with some overtime and some required Saturday or weekend work when needed.

Safety is paramount. You’ll be expected to follow OSHA and ANSI guidelines and help maintain a safe and clean work site. Teamwork and good communication are essential, especially when working with climbers, ground crew and supervisors to get the job done safely and efficiently. Qualifications and Skills:

• Extensive knowledge of trees and shrubs
• Prior experience in the tree industry
• Mechanical aptitude is preferred
• Adequate computer and information technology skills
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to exercise sound judgment and decision making
• Plant Health Care knowledge is a plus
• Class A or B CDL is required with a clean driving record
