Responsibilities
1.Ā Competitive Landscape AnalysisĀ
IdentifyĀ and continuouslyĀ monitorĀ competitive and alternative product offerings.Ā
Assess competitor strengths, weaknesses, and differentiation points.Ā
Develop strategies to position existing products effectively and defend/grow market share.Ā
IdentifyĀ product gaps and recommend innovation or enhancement opportunities.Ā
2.Ā Division Competency AssessmentĀ
AssessĀ DivisionĀ innovation and manufacturing competencies to align to innovation opportunities orĀ determineĀ competency gaps.Ā Ā
Use competency insights to guide product strategy, innovation paths, and strategic differentiation.Ā
3.Ā CustomerĀ BackĀ InnovationĀ Opportunity ManagementĀ
Lead development of a CustomerĀ Back Innovation Opportunity List.Ā
Collaborate with Marketing and Engineering to size markets, quantify incremental revenue/share potential, and prioritize opportunities based on impact and effort.Ā
Ensure ongoing refinement of the innovation pipeline with clear,Ā data drivenĀ screening criteria.Ā
4. Product Innovation LeadershipĀ
Partner with Marketing and Engineering to advance innovation concepts through theĀ stage gateĀ process.Ā
Ensure thatĀ all product requirements, technical specifications, and customer needs are met at each stage.Ā
DriveĀ cross functionalĀ alignment on scope, timelines, risks, and deliverables.Ā

5.Ā Product Requirements DefinitionĀ
IdentifyĀ and document detailed product requirements, including user personas, use cases, functional expectations, and quality standards.Ā
Translate Voice of Customer (VOC) insights into actionable product requirements using tools such as QFD (Quality Function Deployment).Ā
Capture the āwhole productāĀ requirements for the solution,Ā includingĀ software, services, and training needsĀ and how to cross-functionallyĀ support the product offering.Ā
6.Ā Product Use Scenario DevelopmentĀ
Create clear and relevant product use scenarios for each innovation opportunity.Ā
Use scenarios to contextualize customer problems and support engineering, marketing, and executive decisionĀ making.Ā
7.Ā Stakeholder CommunicationĀ
Provide proactive, consistent updates to stakeholders throughout strategy, development, and execution phases.Ā
Communicate opportunity rationale, development progress, risks, and key decisions.Ā
Establish clear expectations andĀ maintainĀ alignment across all functions.Ā
Essential Qualifications
EducationĀ
AĀ bachelorās degree in engineeringĀ or related fieldĀ required.Ā
Experience/Skills:Ā Ā Ā
5+ years of Product Management experience, preferably with a strong background inĀ technical product managementĀ or managing engineeringĀ driven products.Ā Ā
High technical aptitude, with the ability to understand complex product architectures, technologies, and system interactionsāand translate this knowledge into customer value and business impact.Ā Ā
Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, including planning, prioritization, and delivery under tight timelines.Ā Ā
Strong analytical and statistical skills, withĀ demonstratedĀ ability to interpret data, perform sales and market analysis, develop business cases, and support revenue forecasting.Ā Ā
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal; capable of presenting to senior leadership,Ā facilitatingĀ cross functionalĀ discussions, training internal teams, and interacting directly with customers.Ā functional discussions, training internal teams, and interacting directly with customers.Ā Ā
Strong collaboration and influencing skills, with the ability to lead without authority and drive alignment across Engineering, Marketing, Quality, Sales, Operations, and other partners.Ā Ā
Experience withĀ CRM systems,Ā ERP platforms, andĀ business intelligence toolsĀ (e.g., Power BI) is highly preferred.Ā
