Job Summary

St. Joseph School is seeking a faith-filled, student-centered educator committed to academic excellence and the mission of Catholic education. The Teacher is responsible for creating a positive, engaging, and Christ-centered learning environment that supports the spiritual, academic, social, emotional, and behavioral growth of students.

The ideal candidate demonstrates a passion for teaching, strong classroom management skills, collaboration with colleagues and families, and a commitment to fostering a culture of faith, truth, and love in accordance with the mission of St. Joseph School and the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons aligned with curriculum requirements.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Assess student progress through formal and informal assessments and provide timely feedback.
  • Utilize instructional technology and best practices to enhance student learning.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance.
  • Establish and maintain a safe, respectful, and productive classroom environment.
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies that promote student responsibility and accountability.
  • Foster positive relationships with students while supporting their social and emotional development.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Missouri teaching certification or eligibility to obtain certification.
  • Strong instructional, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
