First State Bank is seeking a Teller/Retail Services Representative onsite at our Highway 94 Branch location, located in St. Charles, MO. If you have customer service and previous banking experience, then you may be a great fit! 

40 hours per week
Must have reliable transportation and flexibility for schedule changes.
Must be available to work Saturdays.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Teller/Retail Services Representative will perform all duties required of a Teller/RSR by following policies and procedures set forth by First State Bank, including, but not limited to:

  • Promotes and maintains a professional team atmosphere that enables all team members to grow, succeed and find job satisfaction. 
  • Supports customers in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner that meets or exceeds the bank’s commitment to service and value by creating a welcoming environment for customers by doing the following:
    • Greet customers as they enter the bank.
    • Provide focused and friendly customer service.
    • Create an interaction where the customer feels valued and respected.
    • Build trusted relationships by demonstrating care and involvement during customer interactions.
    • Communicate clearly and politely to understand and anticipate customer needs, including referrals to other bank services referenced in below mentioned primary duties. 
  • Performs teller functions as needed within the Teller line including but not limited to:
    • Maintains and accurately balances cash and proper cash supplies in Teller drawer.
    • Accepts and completes customer transactions quickly and accurately.
    • Efficiently maneuvers all computer systems and equipment used in the Teller areas. 
    • Follows all bank policies, procedures and regulations. Keeps up with modifications as needed.
    • Maintains and accurately balances the vault when it is assigned.
  • Performs all retail services functions as needed including, but not limited to: 
    • Establishes customer account relationships by opening various types of accounts such as checking, savings, certificates of deposits, IRAs, and merchant bankcards.
    • Has knowledge of the current IRA regulations with the ability to open and maintain new and existing IRAs.
    • Obtains and completes all necessary documentation for proper establishment of accounts. 
  • Obtains basic knowledge of various bank services including First State Wealth Advisors, First State Bank Mortgage, Commercial and Consumer loans in order to effectively promote and cross-sell all bank products and services. 
  • Completes required regulatory training and any additional training that is necessary for the proficiency of the Teller/Retail Services Representative position. Attends in-house training and completes online learning plans as outlined.
  • Completes all required compliance training and complies with the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering Act as well as all regulations which apply within the scope of the position.
  • Adheres to all bank security and safety measures as stipulated in established security policies. 
  • Reports to the specific branch assigned to work at (branches and hours worked vary) and stays in contact with supervisor to ensure schedule is determined for the upcoming week.
  • Arrives to work on time and takes breaks/lunches as designated.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • One to two years related experience and/or training required. 
  • Two to four years related experience and/or training preferred.
