About the Role:
WagMore Animal Hospital LLC is looking for a passionate and skilled Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team in Saint Charles, MO! Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures
- Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and administer medications
- Collect and process laboratory samples including blood, urine, and cytology
- Monitor and maintain anesthesia during surgical procedures
- Take and develop digital radiographs (X-rays) as directed
- Provide compassionate patient care and recovery monitoring in the treatment area
- Educate and communicate with pet owners regarding treatment plans and home care instructions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment
Requirements:
- Veterinary Technician certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred or equivalent clinical experience
- Proficiency in anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, and laboratory procedures
- Strong knowledge of animal handling and restraint techniques
- Excellent communication skills and a client-friendly, compassionate demeanor
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Experience with veterinary practice management software is a plus
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude and genuine love for animals
