Your EverydayĀ
Delegate work and provide supervision to professionals and other personnel involved in the delivery of patient care.Ā Ā Ā
Participate in the day-to-day operations of the department, under supervision ofĀ nursingĀ manager/director.Ā Ā
Act as a clinical and operations resource personĀ maintainingĀ current knowledge of clinical practice and departmental operations.Ā Ā
Audit, report, and educate staff on nursing documentation and meeting professional and JCAHO requirements.Ā
Plan daily staffing coverage according to department needs andĀ appropriate skillĀ mix,Ā monitorĀ staffing levelĀ on a daily basis, andĀ modifyĀ staffing based on patient acuity, current technology, and available resources.Ā
Recruit, interview, hire, orient, and evaluate employees as directedĀ
Maintain employee accountability with all hospital policies and procedures.Ā
Inspects department and completes routine environmental rounds, safety roundsĀ as prescribed byĀ organizational safety plan andĀ regularlyĀ rounds on all patients toĀ assureĀ that needs are met andĀ resolvesĀ any issues that areĀ identified.Ā Ā
Participate in performance improvement,Ā monitorĀ complianceĀ ofĀ core measure initiatives, and review charts to evaluate compliance with quality standards.Ā

Minimum:Ā Ā

Current nursing license to practice in Louisiana and as defined by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.āÆāÆĀ
Current American Heart Association BLS certification.Ā
2 years of nursing experience in relevant clinicalĀ area.Ā
