Tulane University School of Medicine is seeking a motivated clinician/educator specializing in Pulmonary Diseases, Critical Care Medicine and Interventional Pulmonology. The candidate must have completed training in an Interventional Pulmonology Fellowship Program by July 1, 2026 and is expected to have met the requirements for appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor at Tulane University School of Medicine. The candidate will join 3 other interventional pulmonologists who have overseen the establishment and growth of the current IP program. A candidate with an interest in lung cancer screening and lung nodule tracking is desired. In addition, the successful candidate will have opportunities to be involved in teaching and training fellows, residents, and medical students, thus teaching experience is desirable.
Clinical service, in addition to Interventional Pulmonary services, includes critical care teaching and non-teaching rotation.
Our section of pulmonary and critical care medicine is a collaborative group that consists of 40 clinical and research faculty. Our clinical faculty members provide services at East Jefferson General Hospital, University Medical Center of New Orleans, Touro Hospital and Veterans Administration Medical Center. Our combined hospitals share a training program that includes 14 pulmonary/critical care fellows. Extensive Tulane University programs for career development are in place.
The Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System, and University Medical Center are located adjacent to each other in downtown New Orleans, Louisiana. New Orleans is a city steeped in culture and diversity.
