Description
The National WWII Museum is currently seeking an Exterior Maintenance Technician. Under the supervision of the Senior Facilities and Event Set Up Manager and or the Facilities Management Team, the Exterior Maintenance Technician performs a variety of work to maintain and clean the exterior of the Museum’s campus. This includes buildings, grounds, and surrounding areas. Â
Requirements
- Complete general maintenance of the Museum’s buildings, facilities, equipment, and grounds including repairs, painting and maintenance.Â
- Perform a variety of exterior work, including grass cutting, gardening, landscaping and maintaining lawn equipment.Â
- Empty trash receptacles throughout the Museum’s campus regularly.Â
- Pressure wash different areas throughout the Museum campus.Â
- Work with maintenance department to complete various projects.Â
- Help in the set up & strike of museum spaces for special events.Â
- Maintain the cleanliness of all 3 CCC parking lotsÂ
- Maintain the cleanliness of the Museum's parking garage
Qualifications
- Any combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described including related work experience in one or more of the Exterior Maintenance areas. Zero turn lawnmower, weed eater, gas powered blower; gas powered vacuum, hand tools.Â
- Follow oral and/or written instructions.Â
- Communicate effectively in both oral and written form.Â
- Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work assignments.Â
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.Â
- Must have a valid Louisiana driver’s license, and clean driving record. Â
