EMR is hiring a general laborer to work in our New Orleans, LA depot! If you're looking for a great opportunity that will allow you to enter the recycling industry we thank you for your consideration.

Responsibilities

Assist in metal sorting

Assist with ELV (end of life vehicles

· Assist in housekeeping

· Ensure a clean and orderly workplace

· Clean and prepare sites by removing debris and possible hazards

· Adhere to operating and health and safety protocols

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

· Ability to use variety of hand tools such as snip cutters, brooms, and shovels, etc.

· Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment

· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently

· Ability to work overhead, climb ladders, kneel, and stand for long periods

· Ability to perform all physical, mental and environmental job functions

· Ability to work in all elements such as rain, cold, and heat

· Ability to handle stressful situations, manages time, and multitasks

· Ability to pass a criminal background check, physical, and drug screening
