JOB SUMMARY

 

The Grants Analyst II, under general supervision, performs a variety of functions and activities required for Federal Grants acquisition, compliance, and administration.

  • Assists in the development of grant applications for capital, operating, planning, training, and other programs to the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). 
  • Maintains accurate records of all grant-related correspondence and documentation. 
  • Coordinates and participates in meetings with project teams and stakeholders. 
  • Ensures timely submission of all required documentation for grant applications and reports. 
  • Maintain accurate records of all grant-related correspondence and documentation. 
  • Monitor progress of awarded grants and ensure compliance with funding requirements. 
  • Track submission deadlines and ensure proposals meet all formatting and regulatory standards before applying. 
  • Details and tracks fund utilization; ensures compliance with reporting requirements. 
  • Assists with audit-related grant-funded projects; provides needed financial documentation and explanations to auditors; confers with program managers to monitor grant-funded projects; tracks progress and ensures financial resources are appropriately allocated. 
  • Develops and drafts grant program documentation, reports, and documents; prepares and submits periodic reports to the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). 
  • Prepares necessary grant amendment requests, extensions, revisions, and progress updates for electronic submission to the FTA. 
  • Reviews, outlines, and ensures consistent compliance with federal, state, and regional project development requirements, including the Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP) and Statewide Transportation Improvement Program STIP).  
  • Drafting and submitting interim and final progress reports detailing programmatic achievements and financial data. 


MInimum quALIFICATIONS

 

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, public administration, or a directly related field. 

 

2 to 3 years’ recent professional experience in research, finance, accounting, public administration, or a related field is required. Experience must include grant administration, grant management, grant coordination, grant writing, regulatory compliance, financial reporting, or obtaining funding for grant-supported projects and programs.


Must have experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


Normal office environment. Must be able to remain stationary 80% of the time and constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, office machinery, copy machine, etc.
