Job Summary

Job Description

The Department of Biological Sciences at LSU New Orleans is anticipating hiring a non-tenured, full-time instructor beginning in the Spring 2027 semester, with a start date of January 6, 2027. 

Job Responsibilities:

Teach 12 hours per semester in various formats, which may include face-to-face, hybrid, and online (synchronous or asynchronous). Instruction will primarily be at introductory level and may include sections for majors and non-majors. Other responsibilities may include laboratory instruction and coordination and/or dual enrollment administration.

  • College and Post-Graduate Transcripts

  • Three Recommendation Letters.

Applicants should be prepared to provide student and/or peer evaluations of courses taught upon request.

Required Qualifications:

  • Doctoral Degree in Biology or related area.

  • Candidates should have excellent instruction, communication, and management skills.

  • Demonstrated success in teaching large-enrollment classes.

  • And proficiency with educational technology, assessment tools, and learning management systems.

Salary:

Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
