Join our New Orleans team at our Luzianne Manufacturing facility. Location: Luzianne Tea Manufacturing Plant at 5601 Chef Menteur Highway, New Orleans, LA 70126 Shift: Tuesday-Friday 4:00am - 2:30pm with scheduled overtime to meet business needs Summary: Our Packaging Maintenance Technician is responsible for safely troubleshooting, repairing and installing tea and coffee equipment within the manufacturing facility and ensuring that quality products are produced timely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Demonstrate knowledge and proper use of hand tools Troubleshoot and safely repairs basic mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic manufacturing equipment and components Effectively prioritize equipment issues in order of importance, manage downtime, and communicate issues to peers and leadership; escalate issues to experts or external resources as needed Utilize Digital Production System (Redzone) to track assigned actions, updates peers, and communicates with departments Read and interpret equipment drawings and OEM Manuals for packaging equipment Read and follow instructions regarding daily expectations, requirements, or specifications Accurately completes all work order and quality paperwork Develop cost effective solutions and follow purchasing standards Must be flexible with weekly work schedule to troubleshoot and fix issues as they arise in a timely manner to allow production to meet business demands Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation and maintenance shop Follow all safety procedures and actively participate in safety training and safety system ownership initiatives Other duties as assigned Qualifications Technical certification preferred 3+ years of manufacturing facility maintenance experience Basic technical skills include Mechanical, Troubleshooting, Pneumatics, Fluid Power, Hand Tools Strong problem solving and analysis skills Self-directed team player with ability to communicate effectively and complete projects in a timely manner Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of rotating between shifts as needed Strong safety awareness Positive attitude with ability to follow rules and directions We offer a comprehensive and thoughtfully designed benefits package that supports the well-being, financial security, and work-life balance of our employees. 10 Paid Company Holidays Generous Paid Vacation & Sick Time Comprehensive, Affordable Medical, Dental & Vision Coverage for you and your family Health Savings Account (HSA) with company contributions Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) & Dependent Care FSA (DCFSA) 401(k) Retirement Plan with company match and discretionary profit sharing Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and financial wellness resources Company- Paid Disabililty Company-Paid Life Insurance equal to 3x annual compensation And more benefits designed to support your health, wealth, and well-being Together, these benefits reflect our commitment to caring for our employees both inside and outside the workplace.
