About the Role:

Furniture Mart in New Orleans East is looking for a hardworking and dependable Retail Furniture Stockroom Associate to join our team! In this hands-on role, you'll be the backbone of our showroom operations — keeping inventory organized, product moving, and customers happy. If you love staying active and take pride in a job well done, this is the opportunity for you!

Responsibilities:

Receive, unload, and process incoming furniture shipments and deliveries
Organize and maintain stockroom and showroom
Assist sales floor staff with pulling, staging, and transferring furniture pieces
Assist customers on sales floor as needed
Learn and operate POS system
Inspect incoming and outgoing merchandise for damage or defects
Operate hand trucks, dollies, and other material handling equipment safely
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and stockroom environment
Support customer pickup orders and assist with loading merchandise into vehicles

Requirements:

Ability to lift and move heavy furniture items (50+ lbs) regularly
Previous stockroom, warehouse, or retail experience preferred
Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule including weekends
Strong attention to detail and solid organizational skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Basic inventory or receiving experience is a plus
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
