About The Position
 We are seeking a licensed Emergency Medicine Physician for a 7-day locum tenens assignment at a Multi-Specialty Clinic in Louisiana. Starting 06/14/2025, this role requires expertise in managing a critical access hospital emergency department. The physician will work 24-hour shifts (8am to 8am) on specified weekends, with potential for ongoing coverage. Key responsibilities include providing independent coverage of the adult emergency department, performing various procedures, and managing admissions. The ideal candidate must be comfortable with a full procedural skillset, including ventilation management, intubation, central line placement, and more. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic emergency care environment using the CMR electronic health record system.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide independent coverage of the adult emergency department
• Manage critical care cases in a ED and ICU setting
• Perform various procedures including intubation, extubation, and line placements
• Manage ventilation and critical care patients
• Place orders and manage admissions
• Utilize CMR electronic health record system for documentation
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Collaborate with APPs and other healthcare professionals
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families
• Ensure adherence to facility protocols and best practices in emergency medicine
• Adapt to the specific needs of a critical access hospital
• Manage a varied patient load
• Participate in trauma care as needed (non-designated trauma center)
• Stay updated on the latest emergency medicine techniques and protocols
