Mig Welder

Smoker Craft, Inc currently has an opening for Mig Welder! This position works from our plant in New Paris, IN. 

Mig Welder’s starting pay is $27.08/hr. and with positive reviews can be increased to $29.08/hr. after 60 days.  

After the first week of work, employees are eligible for a weekly Attendance Bonus!

Shift Schedule is 6 am to 2:30 pm, Monday-Friday.  

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare metal to be welded using cleaner, grinders, and brushes 

• Clamp, hold, or tack weld components to be welded 

• File or grind excess weld spatter 

• Use of handheld power tools 

Required skills and experience:

• Previous Mig Welding Experience

• Ability to bend, squat/crouch, reach, kneel, push/pull, twist. 

• Lift 20 lbs. frequently throughout the shift and up to 50-100 lbs. occasionally.  

• Flexibility in job assignments to move where needed 

• Weld in flat, horizontal, or vertical positions 

• Ability to adjust welding equipment to metal being used to avoid warping, burn through and porous welds 

• Mark and/or tag material with correct name and part number after weld is completed

Schedule: 

-8-hour shift

-Day shift 6 am - 2:30 pm

-Monday to Friday
