MATERIAL HANDLER/FORKLIFT DRIVER
Communication industry company located in Warsaw, Indiana is looking for a Distribution Center Associate.
Administrative support position responsible to provide exceptional support to assigned customer and work closely with Distribution Center management.Â
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
STARTING AT $17.00 HOUR
REGULAR SHIFT IS:Â 2ND SHIFT 3 PM TO 11:30 PM
(must be able to train on first shift – 9 am to 5:30 pm for 2 to 4 weeks)
Â
- Unload, check in, receive and put away product
- Pick and pack product for shipment to customers
- Document product configuration and physical characteristics for systematic management
- Perform cycle counting and stock verification
- Replenish primary pick locations from secondary storage locations
- Transfer product between inventory business units based on set of guidelines
- Storing, cutting, packing, loading for shipment -Â cable including application of pulling eyes
- Receiving, building, shipping Kits/BOMS
- Following safety techniques and participation in safety programs
- Meeting productivity standards and ensuring accuracy of work to ensure set standards for inventory accuracy and customer satisfaction
- Warehouse Management System and Navision item look up and inventory functions, Shipping Manifesting system.
- Operation of pallet jacks, fork trucks, lift trucks, reach trucks, order pickers, automated conveyers, cable cutting machines, saws, nail guns, tape machines.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

- High school or GED required. Associate degree preferred.
- Microsoft Office Suite Programs and general computer proficiency
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to establish a strong rapport with employees and customers.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the Company.
- Ability to add and subtract 10-digit numbers, to multiply and divide with tens and hundreds; ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms.Â
Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
