We’re currently searching for a Quality Technician to lead our Systems team and help us grow and scale and continue our tradition of success 

 

POSITION OVERVIEW 

The Quality Technician is responsible for performing routine production inspections andfacilitatingroot cause analyses to ensure products that do not meet the specifications are distributed.  

 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Test chassis components and drive to evaluate the drive train, steering and other mechanical systems  

  • Complete all paperwork for the inspection and be able to further explain defects identified during testing 

  • Conduct in-process inspections of trucks as they are coming down the assembly line 

  • Perform inspection on production units as they are finished in production 

  • Guide team to cover all production quality inspection demands 

  • Collaborate with other departments to facilitate material timing and escalation 

  • Facilitate problem solving activities, including root cause analysis exercises 

  • Identify systematic issues inside the production process and facilitate solutions and process improvements accordingly 

  • Retrieve Engineering drawings for review and use 

  • Recognize the Quality Management System in place at BM and participate in the processes and procedures of the QMS 

  • Other duties as assigned 

This position will adhere to the Battle Motors Environmental Health and Safety Program by following all safety rules, procedures, practices, training, and safe use of equipment; this includes use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. This individual will work in a way that stresses the importance of preventing injury, accidents, or illnesses to themselves or co-workers by correcting or reporting unsafe situations, incidents, or occurrences to their Supervisor immediately.
