Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics on vehicles from Volkswagen using factory scan tools and diagnostic equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, engine, transmission, and drivability concerns
• Perform European vehicle maintenance and repair services including brake service, suspension repairs, engine diagnostics, and electrical troubleshooting
• Complete repairs efficiently and accurately according to manufacturer and dealership standards
• Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections and recommend maintenance or repair services
• Road-test vehicles to confirm proper operation after repairs
• Document diagnostics, repair procedures, and completed work on repair orders
• Communicate repair recommendations clearly with service advisors and service management
• Maintain productivity and efficiency standards while ensuring the highest level of workmanship and safety
• Stay current with Volkswagen factory training, technical service bulletins, and certification requirements
• Assist in mentoring apprentice and entry-level technicians when needed
• Maintain an inventory of required technician tools

Qualifications

• Experience working as an Automotive Technician, European Vehicle Technician, Auto Mechanic, or Dealership Service Technician
• Experience servicing European vehicles preferred
• National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications preferred
• Volkswagen factory training or OEM certifications strongly preferred
• Strong electrical, mechanical, and drivability diagnostic skills
• Experience using manufacturer scan tools and diagnostic systems
• Ability to operate vehicles with manual and automatic transmissions
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
• A team player committed to quality workmanship and exceptional customer service
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
