Position Summary:

The Nurse Manager performs the primary functions of a professional nurse leader in assessing, planning, directing and evaluating patient care including management of staff, ensuring the care provided is in accordance to standards. policies and procedures. Responsibilities include the coordination and facilitation of quality nursing care through 24/7 of a designated in patient care unit.

Job Duties Include:

• Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the patient/resident environment is safe and clean in accordance with facility standards and DOH regulations
• Participates in staff development
• Ensure quality patient/family centered care are provided timely
• Patient/customer satisfaction issues are resolved timely
• Collaboration with other departments to ensure quality patient care
• Development and implementation of policies and procedures according to evidence based practice in accordance with regulatory standards and guidelines.

Education and Requirements:

• Masters degree preferred. Bachelor's degree required
• Valid NYS Nursing License
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar environment, along with progressive leadership experience
• BLS/Infection Control Certifications
