Job Summary:

Provides and/or arranges for facility wide orientation and training programs, in-service education and other educational programs for the development of facility personnel. Works closely with all departments and monitors, controls and prevents infections at the facility,

Responsibilities include:

· Formulates, implements and evaluates policies and procedures for the facility wide In-service programs

· Prepares annual calendar and master schedule of mandatory and other pertinent in-service programs

· Schedules, conducts and arranges mandatory and other services for all staff

· In conjunction with Department Leaders, conducts facility orientation for all new employees

· Acts as a liaison with families and patients

Required Background:

· Associate’s degree in nursing required. BSN preferred

· Valid NYS RN licensure

· 1-3 years of experience in a long-term care facility in Nursing Administration

· Knowledge of CDC guidelines as related to infection control as well as OSHA requirements
