General Purpose

Operate and maintain the evaporator while performing CIP on the production equipment, silos, and production lines. Perform master sanitation and preventative maintenance tasks in the evaporator room. This job will require a flexible schedule when production requires it or for training purposes.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform the start, run, and shutdown of the evaporator
  • Work relief shifts for the evaporator as production requires.
  • Assist production lines as determined by supervisor
  • Perform CIP on evaporator and all associated equipment that would affect the evaporator performance
  • Ensure all product produced is within the proper specifications
  • Complete quality checks and maintain accurate logs
  • Master and understand the product flow through the systems to each silo
  • Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
  • Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
  • Attend required training, including but not limited to: GMP’s, HAACP, SQF, and Safety

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Production or general work experienced preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Able to follow directions and carry out instructions
  • Able to effectively work in a team environment
  • Able to legibly write entries for record keeping
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
