Job Description:
This job is responsible for planning and coordinating the execution of large program deliverables which requires engagement across multiple organizations. Key responsibilities include communicating target outcomes, coordinating delivery, resource planning, providing visibility of program health, and managing program risks, compliance and financials. Job expectations include ensuring delivery meets the client’s expectations in terms of the target outcomes, timeline, and cost and facilitating sync points between business and technology leaders and Risk and Compliance partners.

Job Profile Summary:

Based in New York, reporting to Global Technology Lead for AES, based in London.

AES is a new function established within Global Markets Technology to provide a centralized efficient service to LOB Application Teams across multiple horizontal functions including Lower Environment Management, Application Management, DevOps Engineering, EOL/Vulnerabilities and platform modernization.

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Senior Delivery Lead to oversee end-to-end delivery of Application Engineering Services across multiple lines of business within Global Markets Technology – with immediate focus on transitioning and optimizing Lower Environment Management related activities from Application Teams to AES operations teams who are predominantly located in offshore locations. 

The role is responsible for ensuring service excellence, operational efficiency in alignment with the needs of each line of business.    The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, customer-first mindset and experience in managing large, distributed engineering and delivery teams.   

The successful candidate will also have an opportunity to shape and scale up the global Application Engineering Team by taking ownership of 1 or more AES horizontal functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads and coordinates routines to support delivery of large programs, such as kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, and tollgates

  • Broadens relationships with business and technology leaders across multiple organizations, as well as Compliance and Risk

  • Establishes target outcomes in partnership with stakeholders and leaders

  • Tracks success metrics and provides status updates to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to the target outcomes, delivery, performance, risks, issues, and schedule

  • Collaborates with sponsors and stakeholders to ensure that execution is aligned with deliverable requirements

  • Manages program financials and supports resource planning

  • Ensures adherence with Enterprise Change Management standards

  • Lead global service delivery for AES Services for multiple lines of business (verticals)

  • Collaborate with GBS AES leads and operations teams to align delivery with LOB priorities.

  • Manage relationship with key stakeholders including GMT SLT Tech Execs, Senior Technology Managers, Application Leads and Delivery teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in IT service delivery, application engineering or application development leadership roles.

  • Strong knowledge of application development lifecycles, modern engineering practices (Agile/DevOps/SRE)

  • Experienced Technologist with exposure to diverse set of technologies (hardware, operating systems, languages, databases)

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

  • Experience in working and communicating with Technology executives.

  • Experienced in leading/driving global programs and delivery. 

  • Demonstrated ability in using KPI/SLA to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of Bank of America AIT eco-system and challenges facing development  teams and application owners to sustain applications in line with enterprise policies and risk metrics.

  • Hands-on experience with DevOps engineering practices including CI/CD pipeline, automation, observability tooling (e.g. Dynatrace), cloud platforms and infrastructure as code.

Pay range$115,000.00 - $190,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
