The Role

We have an immediate opportunity for Structural Engineer for our Restoration & Renewal Practice. We are looking for a candidate with an interest in structural design, structural repair, renovation, retrofit design, demolition, and/or property loss consulting.

Responsibilities

• Completing structural analysis and repair rehabilitation design of concrete, steel, timber, masonry, and other structural systems.

• Coordination of design work with in-house staff as well as other consultants including Architects and other Engineering disciplines, Cost Consultants, and Contractors.

• Preparing deliverables such as construction drawings, narratives, reports, and specifications. Reviewing contractor submittals and shop drawings.

• Performing on-site work and communicating with contractors, owners, and clients

• Projects will be in structural repair, renovation, demolition, restoration and expansion of existing buildings and other structures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering. Master’s degree preferred.

• Familiary with structural analysis software (SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, RAM, RISA-3D, etc.) and BIM software (Revit, AutoCAD).

• Experience with existing buildings for renovations and expansions is a plus.

• Exposure to archaic or obsolete building systems is a plus.

• Ability and willingness to travel within the US and internationally.
