About The Position | Major Goals and Objectives and Location Requirements:

The Associate Director, Events Sponsorships will report to the Director, Events Sponsorships and play a key role in leading sponsor management across the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen and Charleston. This role works cross-functionally with various teams to support overall sponsorship strategy, execution, and partner relationships, while providing leadership and support across the event marketing team as needed.

Schedule Requirements:

Hybrid 3x a week - (New York) 

In-office Expectations: This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.

About The Team | The Team and/or Brand:

The Event Marketing team is the driving force behind successful events.  The team is responsible for a wide range of activities, from conceptualization to execution and post-event analysis.  The team is key to orchestrating cross-functional collaboration. The team strategizes with the sales and marketing teams to create compelling event messaging and memorable experiences that align with the company's goals, drive attendee engagement, and generate tangible results.

About The Position’s Contributions:

  • Partner closely with the Events Sponsorships team on presale strategy, sponsorship acquisition support, and partner ideation.

  • Serve as the day-to-day lead and trusted point of contact for key sponsors and top advertisers, ensuring clear communication, strong relationships, and best-in-class client service.

  • Lead the implementation, oversight, and management of all activations for advertising partners and sponsors, including pre-event planning, logistical and operational coordination, and onsite execution.

  • Anticipate client needs, proactively identify solutions, and confidently manage challenges with a calm, solutions-oriented approach.

  • Work closely with the Sales & Marketing teams to respond to RFPs and develop compelling, strategic event marketing proposals and sales tools, including templates, one-sheets, and pitch decks.

  • Coordinate with the event marketing and operations team to ensure sponsors are thoughtfully and seamlessly integrated across all events and touchpoints.


 

The Role’s Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree preferred in marketing, communications, or a related field; relevant work experience and qualifications will be equally considered

Experience:

7+ years of experience in high-volume, fast-paced event marketing, sponsorship management, or special events, preferably within a media brand, agency, or publishing house
 

Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of experiential marketing and event production processes

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to confidently engage senior-level clients and internal stakeholders

  • Client-first mindset with the ability to adapt communication style, build trusted relationships, and ensure partners feel supported and valued

  • Highly organized and self-motivated, with strong attention to detail and excellent project management skills

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines under pressure

  • Collaborative team player who can also work independently and take ownership of initiatives

  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed

Pay Range

Salary: New York: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of People Inc's total compensation package for employees.
