Opportunity
As a Projects & Specifications SalesExecutive you would be responsible for business development in thesecondary market. Specifically, we are looking for a candidate who can grow theprojects business in NYC by targeting key real estate developers andestablishing strategic relationships with them that will result in strongfuture pipelines of business. The candidate will be responsible for driving theprojects business in the NYC market in the hospitality, luxury residential, andcommercial business segments. The focus will be on the secondary market,controlling our own destiny, and executing our “Spec to Ship” strategy toeffectively win incremental business and take market share.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Prospectingnew customers, real estate developers, general contractors, and constructionmanagement firms, targeting the highest-level decision maker.

  • Utilizingresources and programs to further penetrate existing customers at the highestlevel.

  • Ownkey subcontractor/plumber relationships.

  • Workwith distributor partners to maintain KOHLER specifications and support themthroughout quotation and shipping process.

  • Projectmanagement – Managing individual projects from quote process to the finaldelivery of product. Working with supply chain on demand planning for largeprojects.

  • Youwill regularly team up with your colleagues as each of you will own multiplecustomers on a project.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Sales, Business Administration or Marketing.
  • 3+ years of sales experience required.
  • Must possess moderate skills in written and oral communication with all levels of management and with outside contacts.

Travel

  • Travel to trade shows, manufacturing plants, and customer visits as needed, 10 - 30%.
