Job Description

A busy, professional collision repair shop is hiring an experienced Automotive Painter. The ideal candidate can independently prepare, match, mix, and apply automotive paint while consistently producing high-quality factory-finish results.

Responsibilities

  •  Prepare vehicles and parts for painting, including sanding, masking, priming, and sealing 
  •  Mix and match paint colors accurately 
  •  Apply basecoat, clearcoat, and specialty finishes 
  •  Blend panels to achieve a seamless color match 
  •  Inspect finished work and correct imperfections 
  •  Maintain the paint booth, equipment, and work area 
  •  Follow OSHA, safety, and environmental requirements 
  •  Work efficiently with body technicians and production management 
Qualifications

  •  At least 3 years of automotive painting experience preferred 
  •  Strong color-matching and panel-blending skills 
  •  Experience with waterborne paint systems is preferred 
  •  Ability to deliver clean, consistent, high-quality finishes 
  •  Knowledge of collision repair procedures and safety standards 
  •  Reliable attendance and strong attention to detail 
  •  Valid driver’s license preferred 
  •  I-CAR or paint-manufacturer certification is a plus
