Director of Sales

 

Role Overview

We are looking for a high-energy, dynamic Director of Sales to join our growing team to drive adoption of our SaaS platform in the Financial Services.  In this role, you will identify sales opportunities with both existing Ninth Wave clients as well as new logos and bring them to close. You will partner with teams such as Marketing, Technology, and Sales, to deliver value that directly contributes to the success of our company. This role is ideal for a proven sales executive who relishes the opportunity to deliver value to clients with a truly differentiated product in a fast-growing and dynamic market.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Through thoughtful and aggressive prospecting, build a pipeline of new name clients.
  • Identify and present key Ninth Wave benefits to senior Line of Business and Technology leaders in Financial Services.
  • Manage the sales cycle from prospecting to initial meetings to contract negotiation and close.
  • Orchestrate the extended team (solutions engineer, legal, finance, executive leadership) appropriately and maintain constant communication across the team and with management.
  • Develop overall enterprise-wide account plan.

 

Requirements

  • Fifteen (15+) of experience selling into the top 30 Financial Institutions
  • Demonstrated ability to close business and exceed targets consistently;
  • Exceptional ability to quickly build a prospect pipeline and create/expand existing networks;
  • Command of goal-oriented, customer-centric/solution selling principles and methods;
  • A natural ability to collaborate and work with cross-functional teams to optimize for company outcomes;
  • Experience in a start-up/high-growth firm preferred;
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
  • Represent company in 3-4 trade shows per year to promote company and build relationships to create potential networks for new revenue.
