Western Union is seeking a seasoned senior product manager to lead the strategy, development, and execution of our consumer financial services offerings. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in both strategic planning and hands-on product delivery, and who can confidently manage complex relationships with external partners and internal stakeholders.

As the lead for this product area, you will define and drive a globally scalable yet locally tailored strategy across lending, card, bill pay, and other financial services products. • Collaborate closely with UX design and engineering teams to bring innovative, customer-centric financial services experiences to life.

  • Partner with external technology and financial institutions to ensure seamless integration, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness.

  • Write clear, actionable product requirement documents and user stories that guide engineering, design, and operations teams.

  • Drive cross-functional roadmap alignment across core business stakeholders, regional product leads, engineering, compliance, legal, marketing, and customer care teams.

  • Collaborate with marketing and strategy teams to define go-to-market requirements, including awareness campaigns, in-product merchandising, engagement strategies, and pricing programs.

  • Conduct market research to uncover unmet customer needs, jobs to be done, and barriers to adoption, with or without formal research support.

  • Monitor product performance, gather feedback, and iterate to improve customer experience and business outcomes.

  • Stay ahead of industry trends in digital financial services, lending, payments, and global consumer banking.

Role Requirements

  • Proven success in developing and executing long-term product strategies across multiple product lines.

  • T-shaped skill set: broad familiarity across lending, cards, payments, and digital banking, with deep expertise in at least one area.

  • Strong understanding of financial product flows, compliance, and partner integrations.

  • Experience building global experiences on top of APIs and optimizing funnels through customer-centric design.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience working with external partners.

  • Analytical mindset with experience using data to inform decisions and measure success.

  • Comfortable working independently and making decisions in ambiguous environments.
