SS&C, through our partnership with Lighthouse Investment Partners, LLC (d/b/a Luminae Partners) is seeking a highly motivated Operational Due Diligence (ODD) Analyst to join the Implementation Department of a $16 billion AUM asset management client. This team oversees the firm’s global ODD process and plays a critical role in assessing and monitoring operational risk across third-party investment managers. This role offers the flexibility to be based in either Palm Beach Gardens, FL or New York, NY, and reports directly to the Co-Heads of Implementation, with a secondary reporting line to the Group COO. It provides exposure to a broad range of hedge fund strategies, structures, and asset classes within a leading multi-strategy, multi-manager platform. Responsibilities include performing operational due diligence on new and existing external managers through document reviews, calls, and onsite visits; evaluating operational frameworks including organizational structure, processes, controls, compliance, service providers, technology, and valuation practices; providing feedback and recommending solutions to address operational deficiencies; preparing detailed reports summarizing findings, risks, and recommendations; reviewing financial statement audits and SOC reports for external investments; maintaining and updating internal ODD systems, documentation, and issue tracking; collaborating with internal teams across Legal, Risk, Technology, Portfolio Finance, and Operations; supporting firmwide initiatives focused on automation and process efficiency; and staying current on accounting treatment and valuation of various asset classes such as equities, derivatives, swaps, and fixed income products. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; 1–4 years of relevant experience, ideally in public accounting, asset management, or financial regulation; background in audit, risk management, operational due diligence, or project management is a plus; strong written and verbal communication skills; highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated; able to work independently and collaboratively in a small team environment; curious and passionate about hedge funds and investment strategies; willingness to travel 10–20%; proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint; experience with workflow automation and ODD tools is a plus; CPA, CAIA, or CFA designation is a plus.
