STV is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team to help manage numerous rail construction projects located in the New York City
Responsibilities:
Coordinate with the outside party contractors to determine schedule of work
Communicate effectively with client, contractor, STV staff, and other project representatives
Review jobsite safety, as necessary and take immediate action to document and resolve issues of (repeated subject) non-conformance
Gain and maintain an understanding of applicable industry standards for project and performs all tasks per standards and client requirements
Monitor multiple construction activities daily
Assist in the review processes to analyze plans and specifications to ensure the feasibility and conformance of construction activities that impact railroad property and operations, prior to start of work and throughout construction phase
Observe daily construction activities for verification of conformance to the final approved project construction submittals and plans impacting railroad property and operations
Monitor and/or confirm project QC/QA Inspection efforts throughout the construction phases impacting railroad property and operations
Provide daily, on-site oversight and documentation of project activities
Proactively resolve problems at the lowest level
Submits accurate time sheets, mileage and expense reports on time each week
Qualifications:
Minimum of 7 years of experience with construction work, construction methods, construction specifications, contract specifications and construction drawings.
Bachelor's Degree in a related field would be a +
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Technical certification in earthwork, concrete and/or other construction technical certifications a plus.
Candidate must be willing to travel out of town/state as needed on a regular basis. Standard working hours may vary depending on project need and include night and weekend work.
Compensation Range:
