GFT is seeking an Associate Program Manager / Construction Manager to join our Construction Services Team in New York, NY to work on construction projects. This role requiring regular attendance in New York, NY office.

What you’ll be challenged to do:

As an Associate Program Manager / Construction Manager, you will ensure quality and high standards of performance and compliance across both design and construction activities, working closely with consultants, contractors, and vendors. You will make timely decisions to support project progress and keep construction efforts moving forward.

You will identify and address design and construction issues early, minimizing risk and preventing costly impacts. This role requires you to manage multiple projects and contracts while balancing coordination, problem solving, and leadership responsibilities across all phases of construction.

Your work will include oversight of new construction, rehabilitation, and modernization projects, with a focus on maintaining project schedules, budgets, and overall delivery standards.

 

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: 

  • Manage all phases of construction across multiple contracts, from planning through closeout
  • Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to keep projects on track
  • Review and interpret contract documents, including plans and specifications
  • Monitor scope, schedule, and budget while identifying risks and solutions
  • Support decision-making through clear communication and problem solving
  • Contribute to both new construction and major renovation projects

What you’ll bring to our firm:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in construction and design-related roles
  • At least 4 years managing construction projects across multiple phases
  • Strong understanding of contract documents, drawings, and specifications
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience working on public sector projects

What we prefer you bring:

  • Candidate mush have experience with public projects
  • 10-12 years of experience with building construction (New and major renovations)

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is $120,000 - $140,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
