Lead Engineer

Location: Manhattan, NY

Salary: $220,000-$245,000

Seeking an experienced Lead Engineer to support a large-scale, multi-site design-build program. This role oversees engineering coordination across projects, ensuring alignment with overall program goals and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and manage engineering issues arising from stakeholders, site conditions, and project teams.
Coordinate subject matter experts and drive issues through to resolution.
Support and participate in design-builder meetings and work sessions.
Oversee engineering responses during project execution.
Attend technical meetings and track/distribute key action items.
Guide engineering specialists and ensure alignment with program priorities.
Review design submissions and coordinate multidisciplinary feedback.
Monitor RFIs and submittals for compliance with project requirements.
Manage engineering team scope, deliverables, and budget.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or related field.
12+ years of progressive experience in engineering, management, and leadership.
Strong leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to prioritize and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in MS Office and Bluebeam.

Preferred:

Experience with high-rise or complex construction projects.
Familiarity with public sector or design-build environments.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and team leadership capabilities.
