Essential Duties and Responsibilities Room coverage at lunch, for additional prep/ writing time opportunities and classroom coverage to support students/classrooms having difficulty napping/teachers that are in training and as necessary. Office duties, answering phones, reception coverage. Maintain classroom management, sanitation and safety and support student transitions Provide a normal routine by maintaining daily schedule adherence Must keep classroom staff, and school administration informed concerning children, and issues. Maintaining the Agency’s policies and procedures Attend on-going training Additional duties as required Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a part-time position; days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. 25 hours per a week. QualificationsRequired Education and Experience 18 years and older. HS Diploma and willingness to obtain New York State Teaching Assistant Certification. A desire to work with children through positive interaction. Prior experience preferred but not necessary. Dependable, flexible, and team player required. Physical Demands: Demonstrate full range of motion. Be able to lift to 40 lbs. Maintain mental and physical alertness and an appropriate level of energy to perform essential job requirements.
