Location: New York City (field-based across the five boroughs)  Type: Full-time     Salary: $90,000 – $95,000 annually

About the Role

Insparisk is a NYC elevator inspection agency, and we're hiring a full-time Licensed Elevator Inspector to perform and witness Category 1 and Category 5 inspections and manage the associated DOB compliance filings across our New York City client portfolio. This is a hands-on field role for a licensed professional who takes pride in thorough, code-accurate work and clear documentation. You'll be a key part of a growing inspection team with a steady, well-established book of NYC properties.

What You'll Do

•   Perform and witness Category 1 and Category 5 elevator inspections and tests in accordance with NYC elevator code and ASME A17.1 / A17.3.

•   Prepare accurate inspection reports and complete required DOB NOW compliance filings on time.

•   Identify code violations and safety deficiencies and communicate findings clearly to clients and building staff.

•   Coordinate scheduling and access with property managers, building owners, and elevator maintenance contractors.

•   Maintain complete, well-organized records and support the agency's quality and compliance standards.

What You Bring

•   License: Active NYC DOB Elevator Agency Inspector license and NYS Dept of Labor Elevator Inspector License— required.

•   Experience:   Experience in the assembly, installation, repair, or inspection of elevators, or as an elevator mechanic.

•   Certifications: ASME QEI (Qualified Elevator Inspector) certification and a current OSHA-10 card preferred.

•   Knowledge: Solid working knowledge of NYC elevator code, ASME A17 standards, and DOB NOW filing procedures.

•   Field-ready: Valid driver's license and the ability to travel between job sites; comfortable working in machine rooms, pits, and on car tops.

•   Qualities: Strong attention to detail, dependable documentation habits, and professional communication with clients.

Compensation & Benefits

This position offers an annual salary of $90,000 – $95,000, commensurate with experience and licensure. We also offer a competitive package of employee benefits, with details to be discussed during the interview process.
