As the Creative Director, you willĀ own and overseeĀ all aspects of Goodwin’s global creative function.Ā You’llĀ develop a deep understanding of theĀ firm’sĀ brand,Ā and work to elevate and evolve it on a consistent, ongoing basis.Ā You’llĀ build and lead a best-in-class team toĀ deliver compelling, differentiated, and high-impactĀ creative solutionsĀ that elevate Goodwin’s brand and support its strategic priorities.Ā 

What You Will Do:

CreativeĀ and BrandĀ StrategyĀ 

  • Define and lead the firm’s global creative vision, ensuring alignment with brandĀ and marketingĀ strategy and business objectivesĀ 

  • Develop a deep understanding of the Goodwin brand and continuously elevate and evolve its expression across all channelsĀ 

  • Translate marketing goals into clear, compelling, and novelĀ creativeĀ solutionsĀ 

  • Partner withĀ seniorĀ stakeholders to shape and prioritize creative initiatives that support key firm prioritiesĀ 

  • Own and maintain the firm’s brand guidelines for visual identity and voice and tone; continuously refine and evolve themĀ to ensureĀ theyĀ remain modern, differentiated, and impactfulĀ

Creative ExecutionĀ 

  • OverseeĀ allĀ creativeĀ design and copywriting projects and initiativesĀ end-to-end from ideation through execution, with a relentless focus on the details thatĀ distinguishĀ final outputs fromĀ ā€œgood enoughā€Ā to exceptionalĀ 

  • Ensure consistency inĀ visual identity,Ā voice, andĀ tone acrossĀ allĀ channelsĀ and formatsĀ spanningĀ digital, print,Ā motion/video,Ā and experientialĀ 

  • Lead team inĀ developingĀ memorable brandedĀ solutions for priority marketing campaigns, events, and initiatives; collaborate closely with other Marketing & Communications and stakeholder teamsĀ to ensure objectives are metĀ 

  • OverseeĀ and manage relationships withĀ vendors,Ā agencies,Ā andĀ offshoreĀ productionĀ resources to ensure quality, efficiency, and excellence in execution

Team LeadershipĀ 

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing teamĀ across creative disciplinesĀ 

  • Build, expand, and optimize team capabilities and structure to support the growing scope of the Marketing team and broader departmentĀ 

  • Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvementĀ 

  • Ensure effective resourcing and workload management across creative projects and prioritiesĀ

OperationsĀ andĀ ProcessĀ 

  • Optimize creative workflows, processes, and tools to drive efficiency and scalabilityĀ in close collaboration with team members in other Marketing functions including Marketing Strategy, Operations, and TechnologyĀ 

  • Introduce new formats, storytelling approaches, and technologies to enhanceĀ Ā 

  • creative outputsĀ 

  • Encourage experimentation and the adoption of new creative techniques, tools, and trendsĀ

Other Requirements:

  • 12+ yearsĀ ofĀ proven workĀ experience inĀ creativeĀ roles,Ā withĀ 5+ years in a leadership roleĀ overseeing integrated creative functions including designĀ andĀ copywritingĀ 

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, marketing, communications, advertising, or related field, or equivalent experienceĀ 

  • Experience building and scaling a creative teamĀ 

  • In-house/brand-side andĀ professional servicesĀ experienceĀ preferredĀ 

  • Experience working within a workflow management tool; Workfront knowledge a plusĀ 

  • A portfolio will be requested and is required as part of the application processĀ 

  • Occasional travel to other officesĀ and site visitsĀ
