The Concierge, under the direction of the Facilities Services Supervisor or Manager, is responsible for delivering high-quality customer service to clients, tenants, and visitors within the building. This role includes concierge services, such as greeting guests, managing inquiries, and providing information, as well as supporting light janitorial duties when needed. A professional demeanor, strong communication skills, and a customer-first approach are essential.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Warmly greet clients, tenants, and visitors, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Provide information on building amenities, local services, and nearby attractions.
  • Address client inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and effectively.
  • Assist with scheduling and coordination of conference rooms and shared spaces.
  • Monitor building access, issue temporary badges, and track visitor logs.
  • Handle incoming calls and emails, directing them to the appropriate contacts.
  • Support event coordination and setup, including light cleaning as necessary.
  • Assist with mail and package deliveries, ensuring proper distribution.
  • Perform light janitorial tasks as needed, including:
    • Vacuuming and spot cleaning high-traffic areas.
    • Sanitizing common touchpoints (e.g., door handles, elevator buttons).
    • Restocking supplies in bathrooms and common areas.
    • Emptying trash cans and replacing liners as required.
  • Ensure that the front desk or concierge area is clean, organized, and presentable.
  • Report maintenance issues or facility concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Uphold security and safety protocols within the facility.
  • Maintain knowledge of building procedures, safety guidelines, and emergency protocols.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the facilities team.

  • Engage with management and building staff.
  • Engage with customers, visitors and clients.
  • Collaborate with other employees.

Requirements (Knowledge, Abilities, Skills, and Education and/or Experience):

  • Six months or more of experience in customer service, facilities services, or a related field.
  • Valid Driver's License is a plus.
  • Previous experience in hospitality, property management, or janitorial services is a plus.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to addressing facility needs.

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand or remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to work in various physical positions, including standing, walking, bending, and light cleaning.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Comfortable working in both customer-facing and facilities support roles.
