Asset-Backed Securitization & Financing (“ABS&F”) structures and executes Asset-Backed Securitizations (ABS) and lending facilities across a wide range of consumer and commercial asset classes including automobile and equipment loans, leases, and floorplan, consumer and commercial credit cards, industrial transportation assets (aviation, rail and containers), student loans, personal loans, SME loans, solar loan and leases, home improvement loans, handset receivables, digital infrastructure and other esoteric asset classes. ABS&F offers clients the ability to monetize stable, recurring asset cash flows through bankruptcy-remote vehicles. Transactions are executed both in the capital markets and lending facilities funded through Citi’s commercial paper conduits and balance sheet. The group acts as underwriter of capital markets transactions and credit analyst for lending transactions, advising clients on balance sheet management, transaction execution, and secured financing in event driven transactions including M&As and restructurings. Clients include leading captive and independent financial companies, banks, and corporates in the US and abroad. The team collaborates with analytics, trading, sales, syndicate, derivatives, corporate banking and investment banking professionals globally. The role involves working in small transaction teams, structuring and originating transactions, developing rating agency materials, reviewing structuring models, preparing transaction analytics, coordinating with transaction parties, developing sales materials, responding to investor inquiries, reviewing asset performance and risk, assessing pricing, analyzing risk-weighted returns, developing credit materials, facilitating approvals and transaction execution, monitoring transactions, preparing market updates and pitch books, participating in client discussions, collaborating with senior bankers, analyzing market trends, and developing advanced Excel, PowerPoint and ABS modelling skills. Key skills include being detail-oriented, organized, strong communication and quantitative skills, familiarity with Microsoft Excel, and relevant experience (1-2 years for Analyst, 3-4 years for Associate). A Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field is required; MBA preferred. Experience in evaluating financing transactions and creating financial analyses is needed. Series 79, 7 and 63 licenses can be obtained upon hire. Other duties may be assigned as required.
