About the Role:

The Front Office Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the front desk and guest services within the organization. This position is responsible for leading and managing the front office team to deliver exceptional customer service, maintain high standards of professionalism, and uphold company policies. The supervisor will oversee daily front office activities, including guest check-in and check-out processes, reservations, and promptly and effectively handling guest inquiries or concerns. By fostering a positive work environment and providing ongoing training and support, the Front Office Supervisor ensures that the team consistently meets performance goals and enhances guest satisfaction. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to the overall guest experience and operational success of the establishment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in front office operations within the hospitality industry.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a customer service environment.
  • Strong knowledge of front office procedures, reservation systems, and property management software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with specific property management systems such as Opera, Maestro, or similar platforms.
  • Certification in hospitality or customer service management.
  • Multilingual abilities to assist a diverse guest population.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze operational data and implement process improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily front office operations to ensure efficient and courteous service to all guests.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate front office staff to maintain high performance and professional standards.
  • Manage guest check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly to maintain guest satisfaction.
  • Oversee reservation management and coordinate with other departments to optimize room availability and guest services.
  • Maintain accurate records of front office activities, including daily reports and cash handling.
  • Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to front office operations.
