In This Role You’ll:

 

Paramount Tech is hiring a 403g Maintenance Technician. This position is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and support of production and broadcast systems for the CBS Network and affiliated production units. This includes configuration and maintenance of infrastructure that provides critical, 24x7 support for on-air and production systems. This individual will handle failures and performance impairments of Video Routers, Audio/Video Transport, Media file transfer & storage systems, Video Switchers, Audio Consoles, Non-linear postproduction systems, Production intercom systems, Cameras, Prompters, and other studio production systems to mitigate impact to production and on-air deadlines.

 

Basic Qualifications You Bring:

 

· 2+ years’ experience working with professional television broadcast equipment and the ability to troubleshoot it, down to electronic circuit level is required.

· Experience in the use of broadcast test equipment is required.

· In depth knowledge in two or more of the following: Video, Audio, Cameras, Control Data, RF, Fiber-Optics, and MPEG broadcast distribution systems is required.

· Excellent understanding of media systems design and architecture is required.

· Experience with Windows/LINUX/MacOS workstation and server operating systems.

· Familiarity with networking components and topology, VLANS, IP networking including firewall rule administration.

 

Bonus Skills:

 

· Bachelors in electrical engineering, or IT degree preferred.

· Experience with computer languages such as JSON and Python

· Knowledge of IP video SMPTE 2110 and SMPTE 2059 PTP is a plus.

· Experience with Virtual and Cloud based systems desired.

· Strong Client Service skills and accountability

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· High level of initiative and collaboration, proactive and innovative approach to solving problems
