Job Title: Mid-Level Accountant

Company: Fun, Inc.

Location: Remote / Hybrid (HQ in Silicon Valley)

Type: Full-Time

About Fun, Inc.

At Fun, Inc., we believe that "enterprise software" shouldn't feel like a chore. We build world-class SaaS solutions designed to inject joy into productivity. We’re growing fast, our churn is low, and our coffee is strong. We’re looking for a Mid-Level Accountant who is as passionate about a perfectly balanced ledger as they are about helping a high-growth tech company scale.

If you think GAAP is a lifestyle choice and you’ve got a soft spot for ASC 606, you’re going to fit right in.

The Role

As our Mid-Level Accountant, you’ll be the engine room of our finance department. You aren't just crunching numbers; you’re helping us translate SaaS metrics into financial reality. You will report directly to the Controller and play a pivotal role in the month-end close, revenue recognition, and ensuring our financial integrity remains rock-solid as we scale toward our next funding round.

Key Responsibilities

  • Month-End Master: Own the month-end close process for specific areas, including prepays, accruals, and fixed assets.

  • Revenue Recognition: Ensure all revenue is recognized in accordance with ASC 606 (it’s a SaaS world, we just live in it).

  • Balance Sheet Integrity: Perform complex bank and account reconciliations with surgical precision.

  • SaaS Metrics Collaboration: Partner with the RevOps team to ensure our deferred revenue and billings stay synced.

  • Audit Readiness: Assist in preparing schedules for annual audits and tax filings (keeping the auditors happy is half the battle).

  • Process Improvement: We’re a tech company—if a process can be automated, let’s automate it. You’ll help optimize our ERP workflows.

What You Bring to the Table

  • The Basics: 3–5 years of accounting experience. If some of that was at a Big 4 firm or a high-growth SaaS startup, you’re already ahead of the curve.

  • The Credentials: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required. A CPA (or being "CPA-eligible") is a huge plus.

  • Tech Stack: Experience with NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar mid-market ERPs. Mastery of Excel (we’re talking Index/Match and Pivot Tables, not just SUM functions).

  • Knowledge: A deep understanding of GAAP. You should be able to explain the difference between deferred and unbilled revenue in your sleep.

  • The "Fun" Factor: You have a positive attitude, a sharp wit, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where things change quickly.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Flexible Environment: Work from wherever you’re most productive.

  • Growth Potential: We’re scaling fast. Your career path here isn't a ladder; it’s a rocket ship.

  • Full Benefits: Competitive salary, equity package, 401(k) matching, and top-tier health insurance.

  • The Perks: Unlimited PTO (that we actually want you to use), home office stipends, and a culture that values "Fun" as much as "Inc."

Fun, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. No bores allowed.
