Job Summary
The Anchor – Multimedia Journalist (MMJ) is responsible for generating story ideas, gathering information, producing and presenting stories and other content for all platforms including social media and in a manner that is clear, relevant and meaningful to news consumers for a portion of the work week. For the remainder of the work week, be a primary Multimedia Journalist reporting stories and other content for all platforms including social media in a manner that is clear, engaging, and meaningful to news consumers. Ensure all content meets News 12 Network standards for journalistic integrity and production quality.
Responsibilities
- Develop sources, maintain contacts and pursue leads to create original stories.
- Gather information, video content, interviews, and other elements necessary to produce thorough, high-quality news reports.
- Shoot, write and edit clearly and creatively.
- Present well-written, fully documented and creatively produced news stories, series and documentaries for all platforms including social media.
- Represent News 12 positively in the community in a courteous and professional manner.
- Participate in promotional activities including public appearances.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
- Respond to breaking news and other urgent newsroom situations as required.
- Coach and train as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum four years full-time professional news experience
- Maintain professional personal appearance
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license in good standing within the state of current residence
- Flexibility to work any assigned shift

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $77,112.00Â -Â $126,684.00Â Â / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
