Our Conservation Division is seeking an Architectural Associate to join our team. Working on architecturally significant and landmarked buildings, this role will support the team in a range of restoration and preservation projects in collaboration with PPA's Architectural Division. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in architectural conservation and documentation and be capable of producing high-quality results while working collaboratively within a project team.
Role Description
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Conduct field surveys and existing conditions assessments
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Prepare measured drawings using applicable drafting software
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assist in the preparation of specifications and product research
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Perform archival research and documentation
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Participate in Construction Administration activities, including site visits, submittal reviews, and sample reviews
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Coordinate with Architectural Division on renovation, new construction, and adaptive-use projects
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Self-check work for completeness, accuracy, and quality

Qualifications
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Master's degree in Architectural Conservation, Historic Preservation, or a related field preferred (Bachelor's degree considered) or Professional degree in Architecture (M.Arch or B.Arch) with conservation coursework, concentration, or relevant restoration/conservation experience
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Minimum 2 years of experience in an architectural firm setting or comparable contracting experience
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Experience with building condition assessment, field documentation, and measured drawing/ detail production
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Working understanding of building material properties, traditional construction assemblies, failure modes, and intervention/remedial repair options
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Proactive approach to problem solving & teamwork in a collegial work environment
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Comfortable working at elevated locations, including scaffolding, ladders, and tall structures
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Proactive approach to problem-solving and teamwork in a collaborative studio environment
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Willingness to travel occasionally
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Precise and personable verbal and written communication skills
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Must be able to commute to NYC office five days per week
