Who We’re Looking For

The Area Manager is responsible for overseeing daily field operations within an assigned territory, ensuring consistent service delivery, strong financial performance, and a positive customer experience. This role combines hands-on operational oversight with relationship management, including regular site visits, equipment inspections, vendor coordination, and performance monitoring.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, customer-focused operator with strong business acumen, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across a distributed territory. This individual is comfortable working independently in the field while partnering closely with customers, vendors, and internal teams to drive efficiency, profitability, and continuous improvement.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manage and oversee field operations across multiple customer locations within an assigned territory
  • Conduct regular site visits to evaluate service quality, inspect equipment, and ensure compliance with company standards and customer expectations
  • Analyze operational performance metrics, budgets, and financial reports to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and profitability
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers within the territory, building strong relationships through proactive communication and timely issue resolution
  • Partner with vendor networks to ensure timely service completion, cost control, and adherence to quality expectations
  • Monitor vendor and service performance and address issues that may impact customer satisfaction or operational results
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance customer experience and program performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support company initiatives, field projects, and performance goals
  • Lead root cause analysis and resolve escalated operational issues using sound negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and operational summaries highlighting key insights, risks, and improvement plans
  • Maintain accountability for financial and operational results within the assigned territory
  • Travel regularly throughout the assigned region, including occasional overnight travel as required


What You’ll Bring to the Table

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in multi-site field operations, project management, account management, facilities management, or a related role
  • Demonstrated experience with profit and loss (P&L) accountability and financial analysis
  • Strong customer relationship management, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in both remote and team-based environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based collaboration tools
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms or other data management systems
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong sense of accountability, ownership, and follow-through


Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or a related field
  • Experience managing third-party vendors or service-provider networks
  • Experience supporting multi-location customer accounts
  • Background in waste management, environmental services, facilities management, logistics, or another service-based industry
  • Experience using operational reporting, financial analysis, or CRM tools to support business decisions
