Description

Position Summary

Atlas Supreme is a dynamic full-service general contractor, construction manager, and owner's representative delivering projects of varying scale and complexity — from fast-paced commercial fit-outs to ground-up condominiums and sustainable retrofits for affordable housing. As a growing firm with a robust portfolio, we offer an ideal environment for professional growth and hands-on learning.

The Assistant Construction Project Manager supports the Project Manager across all phases of a project — from bidding through closeout — helping coordinate schedules, budgets, submittals, and day-to-day site communication. This is a hands-on role suited to someone looking to build toward a full Project Manager position, working closely with the PM, Site Supervisors, and subcontractors to keep projects on track.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Project Support

  • Support the Project Manager in the planning, scheduling, and execution of assigned projects.
  • Track project schedules, submittals, RFIs, and Change Orders, and flag items needing attention.
  • Help prepare bid packages, subcontracts, and project budgets under PM guidance.
  • Assist in monitoring onsite progress against the schedule and specifications.

Coordination & Communication

  • Serve as a secondary point of contact for subcontractors, vendors, and clients when the PM is unavailable.
  • Coordinate with Site Supervisors on daily site needs, deliveries, and manpower.
  • Help interface with project inspectors, architects, engineers, and city and county officials as directed by the PM.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date project records and documentation in Procore.

Cost & Quality Support

  • Assist in reviewing subcontractor invoices and Change Orders for accuracy before PM approval.
  • Help track project costs against budget and flag discrepancies to the PM.
  • Support quality control by monitoring that work performed aligns with plans and specifications.

Qualifications

  • 2-year project management/construction management degree with a 3.2 GPA or greater.
  • 4-year construction management, engineering, or architecture degree a plus.
  • Prior experience or internship in construction management, or other related fields, preferred.
  • Familiarity with construction management software, preferably Procore.
  • Strong organizational skills and eagerness to learn project leadership.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Deadline- and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.

Benefits

  • Catered meals in our office
  • Conveniently located office near Grand Central
  • Flexible PTO
  • Elegible to participate in annual bonus program
