Responsibilities

The Structural APM will oversee the planning, design and construction of foundation and structural systems throughout the full life cycle of residential and commercial office development projects located in New York City and New Jersey. This position is based full-time onsite at our Hudson Yards office and will report to the Vice President of Structural Design.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage the full project lifecycle from concept design through construction completion and close-out
  • Coordinate with design team on the development of structural drawings and specifications
  • Coordinate with contractors as well as conduct site visits and site meetings
  • Assist with foundation and superstructure trade procurement including the development of trade specific scopes of works, bid forms, leveling sheets, etc.
  • Provide engineering, code and technical oversight during structural peer reviews
  • Review RFI & submittals, coordinating the flow of information from trade contractors to design professionals
  • Assist with budget control and schedule oversight
  • Support the review of contractor change orders

 


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in structural design and/or construction management
  • Experience in high-rise experience with projects in NYC/NJ preferred
  • Knowledge of OSHA 30 and Procore
  • Ability to work well with all individuals including stakeholders, trades, unions, vendors, tenants and senior management personnel
  • A mature professional with excellent judgment and intuitive interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional communications skills – written and verbal
  • A highly entrepreneurial, self-motivated and results-oriented individual

Compensation

The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.

 

Anticipated base salary range: $100,000 - $140,000

Actual base salary within the anticipated range will be determined by several components including, but not limited to, the individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and market factors.
