About The Role

As a Pricing Sr Manager at the RealReal, you will be responsible for overseeing pricing strategy for multiple categories (Womens, Mens & Kids) and channels (Non-Vendor & Vendor). Managers are responsible for analyzing, identifying and communicating opportunities and providing risk-mitigation strategies. Focus is on driving maximum revenue while integrating total company & division level goals that provide a positive client experience. Strong communication and analytical skills as well as relationship-building are key for success in this role. They will be on the forefront of working with our product teams to further improve our pricing algorithms and automation. This person will report to the Director of Merchandise Pricing Strategy.

What You Get To Do Every Day

  • Oversee team development, pricing performance and ops for the pricing team (Womens, Mens & Vendor)

  • Proactively evaluate & implement pricing strategies and models based upon rigorous business analysis and competitive market dynamics

  • Analyze and report out on monthly metrics, KPIs, and provide summarized insights and actions to leadership

  • Perform ad hoc analysis and recommend courses of action to drive sales, improve efficiency and protect the consignor experience

  • Evaluate and create processes and tools in support of continuous improvement efforts

  • Own Pricing Initiatives end to end from strategy to execution

  • Lead educational communication & coordination of pricing initiatives to internal teams

  • Develop & manage a team of pricing associate managers, associates & assistants - provide feedback, training, and coaching to further career growth

  • Create a team environment centered around collaboration, openness and learning

  • Be a positive role model for the team by fostering strong cross-functional relationships with key business partners (Merch, Planning, BSA, CR/CS, etc)

What You Bring To The Role

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

  • 7+ years of proven success in merchandising, planning or related field in a high growth, fast-paced environment

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with G Suite & Looker a plus

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking & problem solving skills. Ability to relay verbal and written information concisely & effectively

  • Self-starter who can ramp up quickly and is excited to take on new challenges

  • Team player who is able to work effectively and collaboratively across multiple departments

  • Comfortable and confident making data driven recommendations

  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment where the only constant is change

  • Must have a passion for creative problem solving and insatiable curiosity

The expected salary range for this role is $154,741.00-$198,953.00. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR’s total rewards package. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.
