 Title: Associate Strategist

Description 
  
The Associate Strategist is a central team player who serves as the ambassador for the Medical and Strategy team. Responsibilities include supporting the team members with day-to-day workflow, channeling requests to appropriate team members, and organizing/maintaining the library of resources. Networking and outreach across other departments, including Account and Creative, is essential to enhance the flow of information between the Medical and Strategy team and the agency at large. The expectation is not that the Associate Strategist has the answer to questions, but that they know where or whom to go to for finding the answers—and will proactively and positively represent the team, enabling seamless support for the good of our brands and clients. 
  
  
Responsibilities 
  
Team support 
Incorporate editorial changes and new content updates into Medical or Strategy PowerPoint decks as directed 

Perform medical literature searches or other information searches based on specific direction from the Medical team 

Identify key opinion leaders and contact/schedule interviews as directed by the Medical team 

Pull competitive advertising (from AdPharm, CDPromo, or web search) based on specific direction from the Strategy team or Account/Creative partners 

Conduct market case analog research (for example, what brands are promoting OS when it was a secondary endpoint) as directed 

Perform other searches as directed (for example, data visualization techniques, novel workshop moderation techniques, or emerging regulatory trends) 

Review and consolidate key findings from market research performed by brands as directed 

Coordinate team meetings every 2 weeks, as well as biannual team-building off-site meetings 

In person client travel is required 

  
Center of excellence creation 
Organize and maintain a central database of Strategy and Medical resources, including medical 101s, workshop templates, concept briefs, and brand positioning/personality documents 

Be the center of workshop excellence: collaborate with the Account team on planning and execution. Create checklists and guide to best practices 

  
Department ambassador duties 
Attend status meetings to flag opportunities for Strategy and Medical involvement 

Review creative briefs to ensure appropriate Medical and Strategy hours are allocated to the jobs and that collaboration is timely 

Work with the team to create a monthly report of Medical and Strategy team best practices and successes to share with the broader agency 

Schedule onboarding sessions for all new employees so they understand how to optimize work with the department 

Assist in contributing to the agency's social media presence as directed 

  
Research and reconnaissance 
Monitor news, media, and social platforms for updates on oncology trends in general and our roster of brands specifically so that the Medical/Strategy team can form a POV in a timely manner 

Review investor calls from our clients and write summaries of relevant information 

Research potential vendors (for example, data sources, market research vendors, technology vendors) that could be of use during strategic or tactical planning, and arrange for demo presentations 

Organize, program, and monitor surveys (eg, Sermo or SurveyMonkey) as directed by the Medical or Strategy team to inform department thought leadership

The range below represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of an Omnicom Health Group company in the United States. Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience, training, associated responsibilities, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.
