Job Overview:

 Under supervision, the Bidder conducts the research on the product(s) requested within the bid to determine the optimal price B&H is able to charge for each item. The Bidder collaborates with the Buying department, Product Specialists, as well as the Pricing Expert to establish prices, which are competitive and seek to maximize B&H’s potential return.   

Essential Responsibilities:

• Researches optimal pricing solutions for all received bids
• Identifies product replacements when requested item is unavailable
• Coordinates with product specialists, buyers, and pricing experts when necessary
• Returns signed bids
• Assess the context of the bid to maximize profitability
• Understand the customer bid history and applies that knowledge

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent knowledge of B&H’s product lines
• Understanding of pricing structures, manufacturer incentives etc.
• Proficient in UNIX and applicable databases
• Analytical thinker and quick problem solver
• Exercise interpersonal skills within team environment
• Detail-oriented and quick thinker

Preferred Education, Experience and Licenses:

• Minimum 2 years of related experience
• Utilization of MS Office programs
