To further this mission, Callen-Lorde promotes health education and wellness, and advocates for LGBTQ+ health issues.  About the Role: Callen-Lorde is seeking a highly motivated Billing Associate to join our growing patient accounts team. In this critical role, you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient and accurate billing for our patients, contributing directly to our mission of providing exceptional healthcare. Key Responsibilities:   Act as the lead billing contact, collaborating with medical staff to ensure timely patient account generation and reimbursement. Maintain accurate and efficient patient flow through our medical, behavioral health, and dental financial systems. Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering billing and insurance questions with courtesy. Handle all aspects of the billing cycle, including: Insurance verification and authorization Treatment plan setup and monitoring Claims entry, processing, re-billing, and corrections Payment entry and reconciliation Overall account maintenance and troubleshooting Stay up-to-date on billing regulations and procedures.   Work Schedule: Callen-Lorde is open Monday through Friday. Knowledge in 3rd party medical insurance eligibility and coverage Desired Characteristics, Skills Demonstrated leadership and administrative/organizational skills.
