The Role 

 

The Broadcast Access Representative is responsible for monitoring entry points to designated broadcast booths and restricted broadcast areas during the US Open. This role ensures that only individuals with the appropriate credentials and access permissions are permitted entry, helping maintain security and operational integrity for broadcast partners.

 

  • Monitor access points to broadcast booths and restricted broadcast areas.
  • Verify and inspect credentials to ensure individuals have the appropriate access level.
  • Permit or deny access based on credential authorization guidelines.
  • Maintain a visible presence at assigned locations throughout scheduled shifts.
  • Politely assist broadcasters, media personnel, and tournament staff with access-related questions.
  • Report unauthorized access attempts or credential concerns to supervisors and security personnel.
  • Follow all tournament security procedures and access control protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with broadcast personnel and event staff.

Who You Are

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to remain alert and professional while stationed at an assigned location for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced event environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays during the tournament.

 

 

What We Offer

 

Compensation: This is a non-exempt position with an hourly rate of $19.00.

 

Daily Meal Allowance: A meal allowance will be loaded onto your credentials each workday, allowing you to enjoy meals on-site during your shift.

Transportation: Contractors will be present and on-site at the USTA Offices in White Plains, NY and are responsible for transportation to and from the campus.
